清末民初教科书中图文并茂、浅显易懂的课文，以日历本的形式来呈现汉语之美好，课本里的水墨插画，让孩子走近那个古朴而清雅的年代，在丰子恺的画笔下，幻化出诗意与面对未来生活的柔软心。让孩子熟悉母语之美，更难得的，是生活的节奏，日子的细密，在孩子小小的生命地图中已渗透延展开去，润物无声。无疑，民国是一个大师辈出、最有风骨的年代，这跟当时的教育，当时读的书无不相关。
